He puts the “Oh!” in OBAMA

Before he became the first African-American President of the United States, Barack Obama was a freshman at Occidental College in Los Angeles. In 1980, an aspiring photographer named Lisa Jack approached Obama and asked him if he would be willing to pose for some black and white photographs which she could use for her portfolio.

Jack described Obama as “really cute.” In his photos, Jack said that Obama was just posing at first. But soon after, he started to come out. “He was very charismatic even then,” she mentioned.

The two saw each other only a few times on campus. But on 2005, Jack spotted Obama on Capitol Hill. She said that Obama still knew her after all these years.

Jack dug the film from her basement but kept it in a safety deposit box so that they could not be used until after the election.
